Hey folks. This is the CH2 “subreddit” lemmy? Whatever I dont know haha, its the main place for all the CH2 folks to hang out.

If you wish to create a community/want something send a message to one of the admins. Those are myself Chaoticfist and Slyke, right now we are keeping the ability to create “sub lemmys” a bit tight because we are worried about trolls/people who want to post content that could be bad. Bad people shoudnt be bad and should be nice, good stuff hopefully.

We are going to try getting a bot running soon that will auto post content from the subreddit and maybe a few other subs so thats its a bit less dead.

I also wanted to make a suggestion that users on our subreddit add something along the lines of “sub reddit is shadow banned, admins trying to kill it, join the subs lemmy at canzuk zone, its the subreddit new lemmy server, its like Reddit, but with no dick head admins”

      I know. It takes time tho, I am going to try creating an auto mod comment to add to posts. Increase the exposure.

        I’ve been into alt-tech for a while, its pretty hard to get people to switch to better alternatives. You need to educate people on them, with out preaching. On a positive note, forums like somethingawful, spacebattles and animesuki still pull in new members.

    If anyone is finding lemmy a bit confusing at first, this was my experience:

    1. Going directly to canzuk.zone in a browser, I could see the canzuk.zone canadahousing2 community.

    2. Installed the Eternity lemmy client from F-Droid, searched canadahousing2, but found a different one with the same name.

    3.Changed the server instance in Settings->Miscellaneous->Anonymous account instance fom lemmy.world to lemmy.ca, and could now also see the canzuk.zone version of canadahousing2.

    1. Created a lemmy.ca user account and left a comment, which was now visible, but the first CanadianPotato’s comment was not!

    2. Logged out of the lemmy.ca user, changed the server instance to canzuk.zone, and could now see CanadianPotato’s comment but not mine!

    3. Deleted my comment, logged in as a canzuk.zone user, and left this comment.

    CONCLUSION: Log in as canzuk.zone user if you are having trouble seeing or adding comments!
